Fly like an eagle through Lake Guntersville State Park!

Looking for your next adrenaline-filled, breath-taking adventure? At Screaming Eagle at Lake Guntersville State Park, you can traverse the canopy with an eagle-eye view in the trees atop Taylor Mountain.

Lake Guntersville State Park, located along the banks of the Tennessee River in Northeast Alabama, delivers a variety of adventures for the whole family.

Relax in the sand and sun at the riverside beach complex, enjoy a round of golf at the 18-hole championship golf course, or float and fish the 69,000 acre lake, great for bass fishing.

For those that love the wilderness, you can spend the afternoon in a remote grove of trees, watching the wildlife located in the park’s 6,000 acres of natural woodlands, or trek the 39 miles of hiking and biking trails and weekly guided hikes from the park’s naturalist. Lodging and camping accommodations are available.

Screaming Eagle at Lake Guntersville is proud to be a partner to the Alabama State Parks System. As a subsidiary of Historic Banning Mills (a 501c3 conservation center), it is Screaming Eagle’s privilege to help in the preservation of ecosystems and history of the Lake Guntersville State Park. In an effort to ensure this property remains available to state residents, no state park or taxpayer funds are being used to construct or manage the eco-adventure courses. We at Screaming Eagle at Lake Guntersville, Historic Banning Mills, American Adventure Park Systems, and the Alabama State Parks System strive to preserve our natural ecosystem, and proceeds from this project will aide in this process.

Paddle Tales visited Lake Guntersville and documented their adventures starting with our Zip Line Canopy Tour then taking to the water to experience the painted bluffs and the bats emerge from their protected sanctuary from a cave along the shores. So much to do and explore here!
